Ye Guang has nothing to look in this Calligraphy exhibition.

Most of them are the works collected by these contemporary calligraphers, or simply their own works.

It’s not because Ye Guang doesn’t like these characters. The words look good, but Ye Guang does not have much interest in calligraphy. If it hadn’t been for the system to acquire so many calligraphy skills, Ye Guang would not have intersection with calligraphy all his life.

Moreover, although Ye Guang writes well, his actual appreciation ability is not high. He can see that it is good, but he can’t see the specific way, so he can’t tell the reason.

Therefore, he followed Father Liu and watched the masterpieces that other calligraphers brought to appreciative. Ye Guang didn’t say a few words when he first encountered cursive script, some calligraphers asked what his thought, although everyone still concerned about Ye Guang’s age and feels weird, but I have to admit he can write well.

How could Ye Guang say bad words, just a few words over and over again.

“Alright!”

“Good word!”

“Excellent!!!”

It caused everyone to be speechless for a while, and the big guy didn’t bother to ask him.

Father Liu  looked at Ye Guang with a hatred of iron and steel. At any rate, it was his son-in-law, how could he behave like he can’t stand up?

Ye Guang is also helpless. He is like an old driver who can drive. He just drives, but he really doesn’t know how to drive! You asked him to talk about what type of generator, how many calibers, how to use the power system, Ye Guang said a word, bewildered!

You see, it’s really dumbfounded, otherwise the words are not clear.

After one or two hours of appreciating various works and listening to the works brought by various calligraphers, they entered the next link, which is also the most lively session of this calligraphy fair.

Writing on the spot.

The youth parties who used to just make a soy sauce also gathered.

Someone whispered underneath.

“Brother Hao, the masters almost finished writing, and we, juniors, should show up in a while. It’s time for you to show off again. You are the most accomplished in this group of people. Last year, you were the leader among the juniors.”

The man called Brother Hao smiled bitterly, “This year, it’s impossible. You came late at the calligraphy exhibition. I don’t know. Today, the cursive work that Uncle Shu brought is amazing and beautiful. The masters are full of praise, even the title of the best cursive script in the world come out, guess who wrote it?”

“Who?”

Brother Hao pointed in Ye Guang’s direction, “There, that’s him, the one next to Minister Liu, I’ve seen him in Bo Shi Yuan before.”

“Ah, he, really?”

“You’ll know in a while, he will definitely be invited by the masters to write a word today.”

Brother Hao uses the word “invited”.

Sure enough, Ye Guang has always been very low-key, but knowing”Yong Lan” is written by him, no one will ignore him.

Another calligrapher wrote a picture on the spot, and after everyone’s praise, Shu Hai said loudly.

“Today, our calligraphy conference almost done. It was an eye-opener to see the collections and works of all the masters. Moreover, today there is a younger generation who surprised me. Before, I have always felt that the young people are getting worse and worse in calligraphy. Even if they practice, they can’t get into the elegant hall. But seeing this young man today really surprised me. It seems that I was wrong. It’s not that the young people of China are getting worse, but that the generation is better than the previous generation, and the calligraphy passed down by the ancestors has someone to succeed. Let’s ask this young man to write a masterpiece for everyone.”

Shu Hai said and looked at Ye Guang, “Big nephew, let’s show it to everyone, and let us old guys have long eyes.”

Ye Guang smiled and looked at Father Liu. Before got off the car, Father Liu told him to keep a low profile and not show off, and he still remembered it.

Father Liu nodded slightly at him, “Go.”

Ye Guang nodded and went to the stage.

On the stage is a large desk with a wide range of pens, inks, papers, and inkstones. A camera hung on a stand above it. The lens is facing the desktop, and the picture on the desktop projected on the two large screens on both sides of the small stage for others to watch.

Ye Guang  walked to the desk and gave a hand to everyone in the audience, “Masters, then I will show my ugliness.”

With that said, Ye Guang began to use crude methods to grind, and the movements were quite clumsy,  because of his strength, the ink spilled on the edge of the inkstone. So that made the calligraphy masters and Father Liu  look straight down and frowning.

This is not like a calligrapher’s technique, not even a beginner.

Shu Hai has already standing next to Father Liu, and asked in a low voice, “Old Liu, he really wrote that character? Don’t get embarrassed later.”

Father Liu, “Why don’t you believe it? It’s true. I was right by the side when he wrote, and I saw it with my own eyes.”

Shu Hai stopped talking and continued to watch Ye Guang movements.

Ye Guang casually polished the ink a few times, and then pulled out a long strip from the roller paper on the right, spread it out on the table, and compacted it with a ball. Then he picked a suitable brush from the pen holder. I was about to dip the ink, but my hand suddenly stopped in the air. After a few seconds, Ye Guang put the pen back on the pen holder again.

Everyone became puzzled.

What is this for?

Ye Guang put down the pen and looked at the audience again, “When I picked up the pen, I suddenly didn’t know what to write.”

Someone in the audience smiled kindly.

Ye Guang smiled and said, “I see that many of the masters used to write in the ancient background. Then I will also write a narrative with the ancient background. Let me tell you first. My cursive script passed on by a wandering Taoist.”

Ye Guang panicked a little. “He told me that this is the style of a calligraphy master in the Tang Dynasty, Huai su monk style, so, my calligraphy also called Huai su Body, the wandering Taoist also spoke Huai Su Monk’s life. Later, I searched the literature, but didn’t find a record about this Huai Su Monk. It may be old and submerged in the long river of times. So today, I want to take this opportunity, to write a narrative about the life of this Huai Su Monk, so that everyone can see and know that there is still this cursive master in my history. It’s also considered that I have passed on his calligraphy for him.”

With that, Ye Guang once again gave his hand to the stage and then picked up the brush again.

At this moment, Ye Guang seems to suddenly have a clear, empty, and a mysterious feeling emerged spontaneously.

Everyone in the audience looked at Ye Guang, and in an instant this young man who had looked ordinary had suddenly become different.

Look.

Temperament.

Emotion

It’s all different.

There were many people in the audience, but they all thought of the same vocabulary.

Immortal demeanor!

Ye Guang  pick up pen.

Dip the ink.

Drop the word.

‘Huai Su home was in Changsha. Ever since I was very young, I had been studying and serving Buddhism…’ [X-N: here the original]

Everyone looked at Ye Guang’s hand in the picture taken by the camera under the stage. Ye Guang just dropped the pen and wrote a ‘Huai’ word. Some people couldn’t help but scream, “Good pen!”

After that, he stopped immediately, as if he was afraid of disturbing Ye Guang.

Ye Guang hands danced on the paper, and the movements were flowing.

‘Huai Su’s home was in Changsha. Ever since I was very young, I had been studying and serving Buddhism. Between meditations and studying the scriptures, I liked to practice the art of calligraphy during my leisure time. Unfortunately, I regretted not to have the chance to glance at the marvelous masterpieces scribed by the many great masters of the past, and so my scope of the art of calligraphy was very limited…’
